HiVolt Electric’s Conventional Underground and Cable Splicing Department supports the installation, maintenance, repair, and restoration of underground manhole, vault, & duct electric distribution systems. Our team performs cable terminations, and splicing work with careful attention to safety, workmanship, system integrity, and dependable field execution in both routine and emergency conditions.
Scope of Services
- Underground duct bank, manhole, and vault support for distribution and municipal infrastructure programs
- Planned work, emergency repairs, and programmatic upgrades (capacity adds, relocations, hardening)
Manholes, Vaults & Duct Systems
- Conventional duct bank construction support (PVC/HDPE, spacers, encasement, cap and seal)
- Submersible single and three phase Transformers, Switches, MVIs, and disconnects installed/replaced in vault and manhole applications
- Cable installation/repair/replacement
- Cable terminations (200amp load-break and 600 amp dead-front T-body elbows) and splices
- Conduit testing and pathway verification to confirm systems are clear and ready for cable installation, including obstruction troubleshooting coordination.
- Cable support work (racking, pulling‑rope placement, roller setup, and pulling readiness)
- Duct / vault grounding and bonding support per utility standards
- Innerduct placement and labeling (where specified)
- Substations and feeder TX / DX egress/ingress construction, repair, or replace (duct transitions and riser pole and manhole interfaces)
- Restoration coordination (temporary pavement, final restoration interfaces, cleanup and closeout)
- Closeout documentation support (photos, as‑built markups, material traceability as required)
